MENTORING

Mentoring

Having a writing mentor can be game-changing. It puts someone of experience in your corner: someone who believes in your talent, who can help you shape it, and can steer you past any pitfalls.

I’ve been a professional author for over 15 years and have published more than 50 titles. No matter what writing issues you’re currently facing, I’ve almost certainly met them too – and have learned ways to overcome them. Ironing out a wonky plot; strengthening a character’s motivations; staying inspired over several drafts.

I’ve been there. I get it.

Nothing gives me greater pleasure than helping authors reach their full potential. As your mentor, I’ll offer candid feedback on your novel’s strengths and weaknesses, help you decide the way forward – and then provide ongoing support and advice as you rewrite.

If you’re interested in having me as a writing mentor, I’d love to consider you. I’m part of Gold Dust Mentoring. In some cases I also do shorter term mentoring – drop me a line to find out more.

Would you simply like feedback on your novel, rather than being mentored? Click here for information about my manuscript assessment service.

Lee is a very astute reader with a gift for identifying what is and isn’t working in a manuscript and the ability to convey that to the writer. She always made me feel my work was valuable and that she really cared about helping me to make it the best it could be.
